MASTURA :


Mastura is the first Solo album of Master Margherita plus (some additional friends). From conception to completion has taken three years of work. Master Margherita’s composition style shows his “free thinking” application to his music, no code, just following the path of his feelings in the music to compose. The list of guest artists and producers was chosen at the beginning of the 2006. All the tracks were finalized during spring 2006.


Track by Track:

1. Master Margherita - Paix :

Mastura begins with a solo track by Master Margherita – Paix. A peaceful, ethno and romantic atmosphere to start the journey of in god fashion. The root of the track was a long piano loop made by Carole Fouvy ; reworked and twisted by Master Margherita.

2. Electrypnose vs Master Margherita & Sandeep J - Nabuconodosor, Earth Vibe rmx :

Electrypnose is a swiss artist well known on dark psytrance scene, and also in ambient music.
Master Margherita did a remix of Electrypnose for his album with a strong ethnic & colourful style, using the indian dholak percussion (played by stephan montangero) like a bassline
groove & mixed with a warm down-tempo drum sound, the didjeridoo was already created
in the original version by Eukalipt.

3. Cell vs Master Margherita - Some Things, 12 inch gold remix :

CELL, is a well known artist and well established in the world of ambient music.
The CELL remix is an uplifting ambient dub track with a beautiful explosion of melody for your pleasure !!! excellent track for an after-noon under the sun.

4. Flooting Grooves & Master Margherita - Ombra :

Flooting Grooves is a gifted South African flute player who recently landed on planet
psy... Pearce Van Der Merwe is a member of The Peaking Goddess Collective. This track combines powerful percussion with some dark atmospheric sounds fading into dubby resonances. Definitely made to break convention.

5. Morphonix & Master Margherita - Kim Dub, Phonic mix :

Morphonix aka Chromatone is a producer and co-manager from Vaporvent Rec, US,
A renowned sound engineer and composer from San Francisco. His contribution as Morphonix, was to develop Slow break / beat groove as the magical secret of this track which Includes a psy melody which aids your travel into the sound.


6. Tajmahal & Master Margherita - The Analog Point :

Tajmahal is the founder of Electrik Dream records. Dj and composer since for more than
ten years in the psy-trance and ambient music scenes.
Taj is well known for including trance influences inside his ambient compositions.
Deep 4/4 beat, with an emotional guitar made by Antoine Salem.
Their union brings a rich mix of analog and digital sounds.
An Interesting synergy.


7. Master Margherita - Derbouka Part 1 :

This track was started at Essaouira city.The oriental orientation come from Morocco’s special atmosphere. Ethno trance 4/4 beat with insertions of gorgeous acoustic Guitar
(by Yann Schirardin) & derbouka percussions.
One of the more representative tracks of the Master Margherita way of composing. Ethno/acoustic elements mixed with electronic devices, combined to create downtempo psychedelic music.

8. Kali Frogz & Master Margherita - Perfect on Sunday, Protect mix:

Kali Frogz are a french duo. Christophe (H- mong) has a long career as a chill out dj
and has teamed up with Eric, who has been into music creation since he worked on some old soundtracks at the end of the 90's...together, as Kali Frogz they create brilliant music.
Kali Frogz & Master Margherita together offer us a fat grooves track with some extra floating ambient pads, to slow down the journey, Inspired by life & sharing vibes.

9. Master Margherita - O sole mio :

Top notch Ambient Dub track. Compose by Master Margherita made by using electric guitar bass including fx, e-bow, loops from mini-disc and a drum machine. Inspired & composed for the sunset. This track will make you travel into deep space…


10. Master Margherita - Sogno :

To conclude this excellent release, we finish with an ambient beatless ending track. Recorded live on a DAT at the « casba », Composed by Master Margherita and made exclusively with electric guitar bass including fx, e-bow, loops from mini-disc and real time loop machine + sonic manipulations. A good example of what sounds Master Margherita inputs into a multimedia perfomance, he composes
& plays real time the tracks using various loopers.
